Many times Jesus Christ asked his audience “He who has ears let him hear” . Like
Mark 4:9 And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Why Jesus christ was asking his audience like this?
Again mark 4:23. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
All of them were having physical ears. He was not talking about physical ear. He was talking about hear God from hart. Every child of God has to have this ability to hear the voice of the lord. Its an hearing heart. We need to have ears to hear not physically but in our spirit. In innermost being of us we need to hear God’s voice.
Opposite condition means spiritual dead. Jesus tells who cannot understands His parables
Mathews 13:-13-14 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive;
They could not hear voice of the Lord. These people heart becomes hard. They no longer hear what God says.
Psalms 95: 7-11 For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: 8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness, When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. 10 For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’ 11 So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’”
Today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts. But many of them harden their hearts. So they could not enter His rest. The way to enter His rest is to hear His voice. People who are spiritual dead their hearts are hard they can no hear God. We need to cultivate this attitude of hearing God’s voice. we need to cultivate sensitive heart to hear God’s voice.
