WHAT WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE THAT
The scriptures of Bible are inspired by God, living, true, without error, Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:1)
There is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and, God the Holy Spirit.( Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Mathews 28:19, Mark 12:29)
Jesus Christ is God, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that paid for our sin, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28)
Man is created in the image of God. Man was given authority and responsibility on behalf of God to rule the earth. Man (Adam, Eve) was tempted and chose to sin and was separated from God. Because of Adam’s sin all human beings are born with sin nature. Man cannot come out of his sin by his own effort. Jesus Christ came in the form of man and gave His life on the cross to restore human back to God, undoing the work of the devil. (Romans 5:14; Romans 3:10 & 23; 1 John 3:8).
Salvation is the gift of God to mankind, which anyone can receive by faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)
Man must be born again. For born again experience, one needs to - repent to God from all sins, get baptized in water(full immersion), receive the Holy Spirit and continue living a life of faith till the end (Acts 2:38, Matt. 7:21). Repentance means turning from sin and self rule, to God. Repentance is the first step into the new life (Rom. 2:4). Without repentance, Baptism in water is meaningless. A person can receive Holy Spirit baptism after repentance.
The born again needs to grow up in maturity (1 John 2:12-14, Ephesians 4:11-12, 1 Corinthians 3:1-2, 1 Peter 2:2-3, Hebrews 5:11-14). The born again needs to continue the work that Jesus has started (1 Cor. 12:27, Eph. 4:12).
All born again can operate in spiritual gifts and grow in the fruits of the spirit. (1 Corinthians 12, 14:1,12 Galatians 5:22)
The church, “ekklēsia”, is the called-out (ones)”. It is not a denomination or a building but all the true disciples of Jesus Christ in the whole world, who are led by the Holy Spirit and have fellowship together (Matt. 16:18, Acts 1:13-14).
All believers are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ, who follow Him and become more and more like Him. It is about to learn from our Lord Jesus like an apprentice and to do the same thing and even greater things than He did (John 15:8, John 14:12).
There is five-fold ministry - apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:11-12).
Jesus Christ will come back and take His bride - the church and for all eternity we will be together with Him in His Kingdom.
We all are going to stand before God for judgment one day. Anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20).
